HEY,

I grew up in Southern Illinois.

We had A blinking TRAFFIC light and prevailing Southern Sensibilities

pearl-button Shirts. Old-Timey music. Church twice a week.

In first GRADE, I TOLD MY PaRENTS I WANTED A COW.

In third grade, I was diagnosed with a stage three brain tumor, which eventually led to holding THIS turtle in Texas.

In college, I met a cute girl and got a camera to impress her. She was not impressed. But married me anyway.

After college, I worked as a camera assistant, photographer, cinematographer, and EVENTUALLY a commercial director & filmmaker.

I freelanced for brands and agencies like Nestlé Purina, University of Illinois, Leica of America, Spotify, Facebook, DDB, and Colorado Tourism.

For a year, I worked one-on-one with Rodgers Townsend, founder/CCO, Tom Townsend, who introduced me to writing.

I owe a thanks to Luke Sullivan, Rob Schwartz and Carolyn Hadlock for helping me get started.

I got my first agency job with Rodgers Townsend DDB.

Today, I WRITE FOR Subaru of America at Carmichael Lynch.

I still wouldn’t mind A COW.
